Youth Membership
If you are aged between 14 and 16 years and performing professionally, earning at least half of the adult rate for the job in question you can become a Youth Member.
Please note that performers who are younger than 14 years old, are governed by various laws and guidelines as to chaperonage, hours and education and in these cases the local council of wherever the performance takes place should be contacted.
As a Youth Member you are entitled to all the benefits of belonging to Equity but pay a reduced subscription of £20 per year plus a one-off administration fee of £25 when you first join. To become a Youth Member you should complete a standard application form
On reaching your 16th birthday you are eligible to move into full membership of the union.
