Get Involved in the Festival in October
The inaugural Burmese Arts Festival will take place in London at the Free Word Centre in Farringdon, between October 14th -17th 2010.
The festival, which will encompass theatre, dance, film, music, food and an open space technology conference, aims to bring Burmese artists together to celebrate contemporary Burmese culture and to share it with a wider public.
Burmese Theatre Workshop will be running Open Space Conference as part of the festival. This aims to bring people together for a day of discussion to address how artists can help bring about democratic change in Burma. UK artists are more than welcome to participate in this and the open mic cabaret taking place in the evening of Saturday October 16th.
