Radio Mics

A reminder to members who use wireless microphones that the frequency changes will finally come into force from 1 January 2013.

 From January this equipment will no longer be usable on the old Channel 69 and the new channel for such Programme Making and Special Events (PMSE) equipment is Channel 38. Ofcom through their licensing body JMFG should have contacted all licence holders about the changes but if equipment has been bought second hand some owners might have been missed. You should check your equipment and contact the manufacturer if you think your equipment is affected. Some equipment is capable of being retuned but if it isn’t it will only be usable overseas from January.
