At this month's meeting of the Bristol and West General Branch of Equity we are please to welcome Alan Mandel Butler, co-director of the Whiteladies Picture House Project, as our guest speaker.
Alan will tell us a little about the history of Bristol's iconic art-deco cinema in Clifton and the plans to regenerate the space as a centre for the arts, where cinema, theatre, comedy and a multitude of different performing arts can thrive.

This workshop is for social media beginners who want to get a clearer idea on how to use it to help their freelance career – whether it’s to market and promote work or create beneficial two-way communication. With around 40 attendees, it is not a hands-on workshop and you will not be using a computer.

The branch is pleased to announce the last-minute confirmation that GEORGE FERGUSON, owner of the Tobacco Factory and one of the leading candidates for Bristol's first elected mayor, will be joining the branch meeting this Monday evening as guest speaker.

Colston Hall and Bristol Culture, one of the city’s most popular blogs, are joining forces to host a mayoral hustings in the run-up to November’s vote for Bristol's first elected mayor.
On November 1, exactly two weeks before Bristol goes to the polls for the first time to elect a mayor, Colston Hall will be the setting for the first officially announced mayoral hustings.
