Branch meeting with guest speaker Susannah Kraft Levene
Susannah is Assistant to the General Secretary at the Actors’ Benevolent Fund. Since 1882 the ABF has been assisting actors who are unable to work owing to injury or ill health. Following an English Degree at the University of Manchester, she and a friend set up a company and toured round schools and colleges. She returned to theatre on the management side & ran venues including the Lyceum Theatre, Crewe and the Theatre Museum. She toured her company in the UK and abroad and has worked as General Manager for national touring new writing companies including Clean Break, Sphinx, and Yellow Earth. She has been Secretary (Scribe) to the Grand Order of Lady Ratlings since 2011, a ladies showbusiness organisation and is a Trustee to both SAUK (Scoliosis Association UK) and Sphinx Theatre Company. Susannah has served two terms on Council for UK Theatre (formerly the TMA, Theatrical Management Association) and is currently working with Mama Quilla and Pascal Theatre Company on forthcoming productions.
