As well as receiving the Annual Report and Accounts, the Annual General Meeting will be your opportunity to elect our Branch Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, Public Relations Officer (P.R.O.), Web Site Manager and Committee members for the next year.
Would you consider standing for any of these positions? We need you, our members to get involved and hope the AGM will be able to elect a full complement of enthusiastic Officers and Committee members to take your Equity Branch forward. Nomination forms are enclosed with this Newsletter and should be returned to Nigel Jones, our Regional Organiser at the address shown on the form by Friday 15 June.

Your Equity Branch is organising a Variety Show on Wednesday 11 July. Featuring Dene Michael from Black Lace, Swing Singer Gary Grace, Comedian Mike Kelly and Female Vocalist Kim Le Mar, the show will be commèred by singer June Martell. The concert takes place at Manningham Ward Labour Club in Bullroyd Lane, Bradford BD8 0JL and tickets are £5.

Leeds City Varieties Benefit
North and West Yorkshire Variety Branch together with Humberside Variety and South Yorkshire Variety Branches are staging a Benefit Concert for Leeds City Varieties. Organised in conjunction with Friends of Leeds City Varieties and the venue’s General Manager Peter Sandeman, the concert will take place on Sunday 16 September to mark the first anniversary of the reopening of the venue.
