In October of last year Equity organised a workshop through CULT Cymru with John McGrath from National Theatre Wales. Entitled WHAT MAKES A GOOD ENSEMBLE PERFORMANCE? it was a great success and heavily oversubscribed. John has agreed to repeat that workshop again on SUNDAY 2ndMARCH 2014 back at the Ty Oldfield Rehearsal Rooms at the BBC in Llandaff, Cardiff. This workshop is for Equity members who live or work in Wales. The cost is £10 which includes refreshments and a buffet lunch. The course is from 10.00 to 16.30.
Using text, improvisation, movement and voice, director John E McGrath explores what makes a good ensemble performance. Participants will also consider the skills needed by an actor when working with multiple characters and in storytelling. Texts will include recent National Theatre Wales commissions, Brecht and non-theatre writing - these will be available nearer the time.
If you missed out last time, don’t miss out again – spaces are limited to 20 so book now by following this link. http://goodensembleperf2.eventbrite.co.uk
