Fringe reports record ticket sales, but average attendance down

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe has closed its most successful year with a record 1,943,493 tickets issued, up 4.6% on 2012 – and 3.5% up on the previous record in 2011.

Channel 4 drama New Worlds filming in Bristol

A Channel 4 drama set in the 1680s is currently filming in Bristol.

New Worlds stars Jamie Dornan (The Fall), Freya Mavor (Skins, The White Queen), Alice Englert (Beautiful Creatures) and Joe Dempsie (Southcliffe, Game of Thrones) as young idealists during the Restoration period.

The production is currently based at Redcliffe Wharf (below), and filming has taken place near the Ostrich pub.
