Midlands Area Committee 2011-2013

The Midlands Area Committee works to  protect, promote and extend the rights and interests of all members in the English Midlands. The Midlands region consists of the counties of Hereford and Worcester, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire. Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire and is serviced from the Equity office in Coventry.

Committee members are elected every two years by and from our members who are resident in this area.

We want to encourage more young people to join the union and take an active role. We are trying to facilitate liaison between Equity Branches in the area, exchanging ideas, supporting each other and helping to create an energetic and active trade union. The committee meets five times a year, expenses paid.
