Equity Council by-election

7 November 2012

As a result of the death of Council member Dennis Ray, Equity is holding a by-election for the Singers’ seat on the Equity Council. There is also a vacancy for one Chorus and Ensemble seat.

You can complete your nomination details online by logging in to the Members' Area of this web site. You can also download a paper nomination form or request one from any Equity office.

To stand for Council follow these four simple steps:
1 Complete your details.
2 Write your election statement.
3 Find a proposer and seconder.
4 If you are completing a nomination online, attach evidence of work and a recent photograph and press the ‘Submit’ button. If you are completing a paper nomination, return it, together with your election statement, evidence of work in the relevant specialism in the past three years and your photograph, to Martin Brown, Equity, Guild House, Upper St Martin’s Lane, London WC2H 9EG.

If possible, your statement and photograph should be e-mailed to elections@equity.org.uk.

The deadline for receipt of all election documents is 12 noon on Friday 7 December 2012. If there is more than one candidate for either vacancy an election will take place in February and March 2013, with voting closing
