ORGANISING ASSISTANT, LIVE PERFORMANCE DEPARTMENT, EQUITY

Equity is the UK trade union representing performers and other creative workers from across the spectrum of the entertainment, creative and cultural industries.

Equity’s Live Performance Department requires an Organising Assistant to support the work of the Head of the Live Performance Department and help with other departmental objectives with a particular emphasis on the recruitment, retention and servicing of members.  As well as a full range of administrative skills the successful applicant will have good communication skills, both in writing and in person, have the ability to organise events, provide initial advice to members on the range of the department’s industrial agreements and undertake member focussed activities.

The starting salary is £31,887.93 inclusive of London weighting, rising on a scale, with 31 days annual leave and a contributory pension scheme. The post is based in central London.

COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT, COMMUNICATIONS & MEMBERSHIP SUPPORT, EQUITY

Equity is the UK trade union representing performers and other creative workers from across the spectrum of the entertainment, creative and cultural industries. We have one of the strongest social media presences of any UK trade union.

Equity is seeking to appoint a Communications Assistant to assist with communications across all the union’s channels. You will help develop the union’s social media strategy, provide social media coverage of Equity events, create content for email newsletters and the award-winning Equity magazine, and create digital and print communications which support the industrial, campaigning and recruitment work of the union.   

You will have experience in using a range of social media, content management and desktop publishing tools; possess excellent administration skills; and be able to demonstrate good awareness and knowledge of the UK arts and entertainment industries.

The starting salary is £31,887.93 inclusive of London weighting, rising on a scale, with 31 days annual leave and a contributory pension scheme. The post is based in central London.
