CiniMe Shorts - Bristol Spotlight 2014
7 January 2014
Including the screening of two short films by BAFTA winning director Rachel Tillotson, followed by a Q&A session.
CineMe has been running for 5 years, hosting short film events around Bristol to champion local creative talent and to put Bristol filmmaking on the map.
Our event on January 14th puts Bristol independent filmmakers in the spotlight. We will be showing over 80 minutes of short films produced in Bristol with a selection of award winning and festival entries including animation, drama, documentary and music video. There’s the opportunity to meet the filmmakers, listen to the stories behind the making of the films and network with other creatives. It’s also the chance for film enthusiasts to watch a variety of independent films that they would not have the opportunity to see at their multiplex cinema.
The main films screened on the evening will be Rachel Tillotson’s comedy Fuel which was aired by Film Four and I’ll Tell You, winner of the Best South West Jury Award at the Encounters Film Festival. After the screenings Rachel will be running a Q&A session discussing her work on various short film projects, features and television programmes.
Other short films being shown include the experimental music video Fear and Delight by The Correspondents; the charming animation Sun by animator Paul Hill; the documentary The Best Medicine, which premiered at this years Encounters Festival; Ancient made at the UWE Animation School and lots more short film gems.
