Details

We are working with one of our Careers Advisors, Paul Cawley, to deliver a highly subsidised 3-hour workshop aimed at members who may have had a bit of a break from the industry and are now coming back into it.

If you've needed to take some time out of the industry, it can be daunting to launch yourself back in. Particularly as industry practices seem to be changing rapidly.  So the last thing you need to do is to send out the wrong material to the wrong people at the wrong time.

This workshop helps you understand  good self-marketing,  how to identify your strengths and how to use various media effectively.

All participants will receive an appraisal of their CV, photo, and Spotlight page and the topics covered include:

  • A “good” CV,
  • The right photo,
  • How is a covering letter different from an email?,
  • Networking,
  • How do I find out what’s going on, and
  • Do I Need Twitter?

All participants must bring a copy of their current photo and CV.

In order to ensure that everyone taking part in the workshop has sufficient time and attention there is a strict limit on the numbers and we will be running 2 sessions on the same day.  When applying for a place please stipulate your session choice, details about this and how to book are below.

Date: Sunday November 10th

Time: Session 1, Morning,     10.00 – 13.00

           Session 2, Afternoon , 14.00 – 17.00

Venue:  Equity, Guild House, Upper St Martin’s Lane, London, WC2H 9EG (nearest tube is Leicester Square)

Cost:  £15.00  (Payment to be made once you receive confirmation of a place)

To book a place please email giving your Equity name and clearly stating which session you want
