Proposed Branch Motion

Proposed Branch Motion

Following a member finding that she was not given a credit for voice over work pertaining to the main actress in a recent blockbuster film, it has come to light to this committee that under the current Equity Cinema Films agreement there is not an automatic credit.  (Whether a role is featured or not in the performer's contract may have a bearing on a credit given or not though).  In the USA, the SAG/AFTRA agreement is different as voice artists do get a credit.

We have been informed that 'the Screen Committee has in fact picked up on this and that it is likely to be included in the next claim for revisions  to the Cinema Films Agreement some time next year' (2014).

We would like the branch members' approval to send a branch motion to the Screen Committee to encourage and support this proposal as follows:

The committee & members of Hertfordshire & District General Branch urge the Equity Screen Committee to negotiate an automatic feature and credit for voice artists in all future Cinema Films agreements.

Please show your support by attending a the next branch meeting on Monday 27 January 7.30 at Watford Palace Theatre or emailing us on
