Furnace Workshops (Feb 2018)

14 January 2018

Two more fantastic workshops available to members of the Furnace Social Club (Click here to join). The workshops are FREE (gratis, £0, without charge...I know!)

Make It Happen: Take your show to Edinburgh Festival Fringe
Friday, 9th February 12:30pm – 3:30pm

Every year the Fringe Society runs a series of free information sessions to help you find out how to take part in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and make the most of all the opportunities on offer.

These free events are a great chance to get impartial advice from the Fringe Society and direct knowledge about your Fringe visit.

The Fringe Society will be joined by British Council at West Yorkshire Playhouse on 9th February to field your questions and offer great tips on how to make your Fringe visit a success.

Make It Happen: Explore Movement in your Work
Monday, 12th February 7pm – 8:30pm

WYP Associate Artist Pauline Mayers creates work that defies classification and genre. Her hit show What If I Told You brought movement and theatre together, pushing at the boundaries of what each discipline can achieve.

During this practical workshop, Pauline will create a supportive and challenging space and invite you to explore ways of incorporating theatre and choreographed movement into your work.

Whether you’re a natural mover or a complete beginner, this free session allows you to try new ways of making work and creating safe and informal environments for audiences to be challenged.
