Unity seeks cast for workshop of new play

Unity Theatre is looking to cast a workshop of a new play by Liverpool born writer Luke Barnes. The deadline for applications is this Monday, May 30th, with auditions on May 31st so get on it quickly!

LONELY HEARTS CLUB by Luke Barnes
UNITY THEATRE are working on a workshop of a new play by Liverpool born writer Luke Barnes.
The play Lonely Hearts Club is currently being developed by Luke and director Tony Lidington for a workshop performance on June 9th at 10am as part of the city wide Good Morning Good Morning programme.
We are now looking for three performers to join the process.
Auditions. From 3pm
Unity 2 10am-6pm
DARIELLA: Late 20s. Masculine but comfortable in drag.
PERFORMERS : In their 20’s. 1 Male 1 Female. Character Actors. Must be able to multi role.
Performers will all need to sing and dance well, in addition to acting. Their shape/size/ethnicity is irrelevant. In particular, Dariella needs to be capable of playing a diva. Scouse accent an advantage.
All performers MUST be available 10-6pm between Monday June 5 and Friday June 9.
ITC weekly rate (£458). We expect all actors to have a Liverpool base, so on this occasion no subs/travel are possible.
Lonely Hearts Club
Liverpool writer LUKE BARNES new play. Two boys growing up in Southport fall in and out of love - a love story told through a traditional seaside variety show. Quirky, charming and quietly unique. Originally written whilst on attachment to Soho Theatre the reading will be directed by Tony Lidington
