Back in September 2014, Equity members living in Oxfordshire met with a view to form a new branch, accessible to everyone in our area.

After several meetings, an interim committee was formed and the Oxford General Branch was approved by Equity Head Office in February 2015 and officially launched in October 2015.

Our branch is part of Equity’s vital network of branches throughout the UK, which give members a voice in the union and much more.

Your local branch is here for you. All members and student members based in Oxfordshire are invited to attend our regular branch meetings to share views and experiences and discuss issues that are of importance to them. Together we can put forward proposals to Equity's ruling body, give support to professionals working locally in our industry, organise a programme of social events and raise money for local charities.

If you are an Equity member or student member based in the area and would like to take an active role in branch activities, please do get in touch. There are plenty of ways in which you can get involved and we are positively encouraging members to come forward and help us make this new branch a success.

Any member interested in joining the Oxford Branch register, receiving the newsletter and attending meetings, should contact the branch secretary by email:
