Branch Newsletter - March 2020

Branch Meeting

Every year, Equity holds a conference (known as ARC) where members get a chance to ask the Union to make an issue a priority. In the past we've asked for things socioeconomic mobility, poor working conditions, and local casting to be tackled by staff.

This is YOUR chance to have a say and make a change to the entertainment industry. So come along and meet your fellow members, have your say.

Member Concerns

Members met on Sunday, 16th of February to discuss the campaigns that Equity is currently running. Of particular concern was the London-centric nature of the casting process. Many of your colleagues discussed their concerns about the lack of casting and opportunities in Liverpool and the region. Your committee would like to continue this discussion at the branch meeting on the 3rd of March. If you'd like to express your thoughts on local casting please do come along to the meeting for a chat. We heard a lot about theatre and film casting, but it would also be very useful to hear from anyone who has concerns about other types of castings.
