In the last newsletter we asked you to share your upcoming performances, workshops, projects and anything else that you would like other members to know about or be involved with. Please feel free to send this sort of thing to us either via the branch email or share with us on Facebook and Twitter. We can promote your events in the newsletter or via social media, and hopefully help to connect members throughout the East of Scotland region.
Branch member Danielle Farrow appeared in the sell-out Edinburgh Horror Festival play "Vaults" last year, and is reprising her role in the site-specific piece at the Whithorn Crypts on 19th and 20th January. The show is produced in association with the Whithorn Trust and Historic Environment Scotland, and for more information or to purchase tickets you can contact The Whithorn Trust on - 01988500469.
Branch member and chair Morna Burdon is touring her show "Bonnie Fechters" to the Macrobert Arts Centre in March. The show is a mix of songs and stories celebrating women who stood up to injustice and oppression and changed our lives for ever. There is an opportunity for audience members to share the stories of inspirational women that they know. Tickets are available on the Macrobert website - http://macrobertartscentre.org/event/bonnie-fechters/
And finally, branch members Robert and Yvonne Moore who run Engross Theatre company have received funding to develop and perform two new shows. One will be a theatre piece for pupils in Midlothian, and the other will be a stand-up show for adults about the experience of parenting an autistic son. Engross work with special schools to support the education of pupils with learning disabilities, and you can find out more about their work at their website - http://www.engrosstheatre.org.uk/
