Colchester April Branch meeting Review
Yay! What a great Essex General Branch meeting we had on Saturday. It’s probably not often enough that we bring Equity to Colchester, but it gives local members a far better chance of being able to attend...even for the first time.
Massive thanks to the Mercury Theatre for hosting us, and to Executive Producer Steve Mannix for his brilliant presentation, complete with computer simulation of what the theatre will look like in 2020 after its transformation. This followed a coffee meet and greet and Steve’s outside and backstage tour.
Crikey, it was a good morning, and in the official branch meeting which followed, efficiently and pacily chaired by Martyn Harrison, we had some really good engagement from lively newcomers. Thanks so much for coming!
We will absolutely bring the branch back to Colchester at least a couple of times a year and maybe do a mass outing to a production at the “new” Mercury!
Meanwhile, we still have some Chelmsford dates to fulfill, and the next meeting is in Trinity Link opposite the County Hotel, on Sat June 1st. Coffee, biccies etc at 10.45am, for an 11am start. More info and nudges nearer the time.
