Theatre Director: Sarah Kane

My Summary

I am interested and involve myself in theatre that aims to move, challenge and entertain audiences. Easily said, difficult to do! Productions I direct are inspired by the technique developed by Russian actor and director Michael Chekhov, as I have found that it encourages the greatest creativity in actor and director alike. I have a strong sense for the potency of words to evoke images and emotions, and find that my best work comes out of a good piece of writing. That said, I also direct work with a strong physical or style component with great pleasure and enthusiasm.
