With 24 motions and amendments in the section, the future structure of Equity's democracy will be the biggest debate at the 2012 Annual Representative Conference. Following a discussion document drafted by the union's Financial Stability Working Party and heated debate across Equity's 62 committee's and branches, the union's Conference will now grapple with the thorny issue of what democratic structures Equity needs to take it into the future.
Also on the agenda are motions on pay and conditions in the West End, artistic leadership of regional theatres, cut-backs at the BBC, tax breaks for the UK games industry and supporting regional programme-making.
