Pride London: World Pride Parade 7 July 2012

Pride bannerLondon is proud to be hosting World Pride this summer and this year’s Pride Parade will be the biggest ever – seen by tens of thousands of people in the heart of London. Members of Equity’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Committee will be proudly taking part by marching on the parade under the Equity banner. Equity’s LGBT Committee members would be delighted to be joined on the parade by other Equity members to show the strength of Equity’s support for LGBT equality and celebrate Equity’s I Can Act But I Won’t Pretend campaign.

We will be meeting at The Volunteer pub near Baker Street tube at 12 o’clock, please see the following link for details http://www.thevolunteernw1.co.uk/ You can join us at The Volunteer or on the parade itself.  If you want to let us know in advance that you’ll be joining us please get in touch with Equity’s Equalities Officer, Max Beckmann, by email to mbeckmann@equity.org.uk or by calling 020 7670 0251.

The World Pride parade will start at Baker Street at 1pm and make its way down Oxford Street and Regent Street, moving down Pall Mall and Cockspur Street as it passes Trafalgar Square and continues down Whitehall where it will end at around 4.30.
