APPG inquiry into the lack of social mobility in the creative sector

The Performers' Alliance APPG inquiry into the decline of social mobility in the creative industries launched on 26 November. Equity Councillor Jackie Clune spoke at the launch, and you can find the text of her speech here

This inquiry will investigate the barriers to establishing and sustaining a career in the creative sector faced by those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.
It will be led by the Performers' Alliance All-Party Parliamentary Group, engaging MPs and Peers from across the political spectrum on those measures that can be taken by government, industry and others to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to break into and progress in these careers.
The inquiry would like to hear from creative workers with first hand experience, as well as from industry and academic groups. You can read more about the inquiry, including where to send submissions, here.
