Equity launches Northern Equality Network

On Sunday 9 February 2020 Equity is launching its innovative Equality Network for the northern regions in an event at Sacha’s Hotel, Manchester.

Natalie Amber, of Equity’s Deaf and Disabled Members Committee (DDMC) will appear as the guest speaker, and more than 60 people have already registered to attend.

The Equalities Network will help to tailor Equity’s national equalities objectives to the local and regional levels, with groups of members working collaboratively to focus on issues affecting women, LGBT+, disabled and black and minority ethnic members. The Network will work closely with Equity’s national equalities committees in reviewing its work, and ensuring the concerns and priorities of the region are represented at the organisational level. The next scheduled meeting of the Network will be in Newcastle.
