DCMS has issued new guidance for those working in the performing arts in England, with both indoor and outdoor performances unable to go ahead.
The current lockdown and subsequent updates to the guidance on performing arts further restricts work possibilities for live entertainers. Some outdoor socially distanced work had been possible under the tier system but the latest guidance states that indoor and outdoor performances to an audience cannot take place.
We are seeking clarification from the DCMS on some art forms which we feel may have been overlooked and will inform members if there are any changes. Performing arts professionals may continue to rehearse and train, and perform for broadcast or recording purposes as before.
