Equity's student and young member bursary applications will reopen in summer 2024.
Equity’s Student Member and Young Member Bursary Scheme is funded by donations from Equity Life Members, demonstrating their solidarity with younger members of the creative workforce entering the entertainment industry. The bursaries assist Student Members and Young Members with the costs of beginning a career in the entertainment sector. Each year, bursaries of £500 each will be awarded to two Equity Student Members in their final year of study on a course of one year or longer, and two Graduate or Full Members of Equity who are aged 18-30.
Receiving the Equity Student Member Bursary meant that I was able to do things that previously wouldn’t have even been in my scope. This industry is unfortunately a pricey one to get into and this bursary provided me with a means to create at least a start, that I wouldn’t have been able to do without. I am very thankful for what I have been able to do with the bursary’s help.
