Background

In our negotiations with PACT, we have claimed for significant increases in use fees by streamers. The TV market has changed significantly since the agreement was last negotiated in 2019, with (mostly US) big streamers now the dominant players. PACT’s offer doesn’t address these issues and in fact proposes a cut to what you currently get from rights being sold to US broadcasters and streamers.

PACT have offered small uplifts in some areas, but proposed a package deal for US television, SVOD (streaming video on demand) and AVOD (advertising video on demand) uses which, if agreed, would result in a reduction in your pay.
