Videogames Network Roadshow: Sheffield
The video games industry is a dynamic place to work but unethical practices undermine the profession. Pay for UK performers has stagnated despite games being a multibillion-dollar industry with almost £200 million in tax breaks. Performers don't have the protections they need in the unregulated world of AI, the misuse of NDAs is common and health and safety is often lacking.
Join us at our ‘Videogames Roadshow’ event and together we can change this.
Equity’s Game On! Campaign aims to set the standard for decent pay and conditions in video games, from hours to safety to the use of AI. Get involved so we can make the industry work for performers.
Whether you’re an Equity member or not, we want to hear about your stories of working in the industry, and make a plan together for how to change things in the videogames industry for performers. This open meeting is held at the National Videogame Museum in Sheffield.
Refreshments will be provided.
