The Equity Benevolent Fund offers support to the beneficiaries of members of the union, provided that their subscriptions were paid up at the time of passing.
If you are the beneficiary of the estate you may be entitled to apply for a small subsistence grant to assist with the expenses of the funeral and the administration of the estate. If the provisions were met at the time of passing, the estate may be awarded a funeral benefit contribution of £400.
Once you have submitted this form, you can expect to hear back from Equity within 10 working days. It can take up to 45 days to process any approved payments. Please contact bereavement@equity.org.uk if you need further information.
