Edinburgh Fringe 2025: Know your rights!

If you're going to Edinburgh Fringe, join our essential online workshop on Monday 2 June 11am-2.30pm, to learn your rights so you don't get exploited or ripped off at the Fringe! 

The workshop is aimed at performers and stage management taking part in an upcoming theatrical production at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Both Equity members and non-members are welcome including students.

 The online workshop will cover:

• An Introduction to Equity and Trade Unions
• What is a contract? When is a contract legally binding? What to expect in a contract?
• Your rights in work (genuinely self-employed versus ‘worker status’)
• How to assert your rights and the importance of asserting your rights

Once you have registered, we will send a Zoom link to you in advance of the workshop.
