Stronger Local Places: Rebuilding the Social Club Movement

Some of our members are attending a conference in September called Stronger Local Places: Rebuilding the Social Club Movement organised by the Centre for Democratic Business.

This one-day conference is dedicated to revitalising the legacy and relevance of social clubs across Britain. We think that Equity members and performers should be a central part of this conversation, and many members want to take an active role in protecting their local venues and workplaces.

This conference will be a fantastic way to start engaging in this type of organising and campaigning, and a way of seeing the potential of our social clubs as vibrant, community owned venues and workplaces.
