Subscription discounts
Subsidised members are entitled to a 50% discount on the lowest priced band of annual membership subscription. This includes those who:
- Earn less than £40K a year AND
- Are aged 10-17 (inclusive) OR
- Are aged 66 or over (inclusive) OR
- Graduated from an eligible course in the last two years
Education & Training Membership members currently undertaking eligible education or training receive a 75% discount on the lowest priced band of annual membership subscription.

Joining fees
When you join Equity for the first time or rejoin after a break, you will also be required to pay a one-off entrance or rejoin fee of £49.50 for full or subsidised membership, reduced to £32 if paying by direct debit. Education and training members do not pay a joining fee.
Declaring your earnings
Members should be aware that a failure to declare at the correct rate may mean they are ineligible for some union services and benefits should they need them.
