Northern Ireland National Committee

We represent Equity members in Northern Ireland.

As the Northern Ireland National Committee, we advise the Equity Council and take approved action on any matters relevant to the professional employment of Equity members in Northern Ireland.

We work and liaise with other bodies in Northern Ireland, e.g. Northern Ireland Assembly, Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Irish Congress of Trade Unions, and serves as a channel of communication between the Council and members in Northern Ireland and vice-versa.

On 9 October, actors from the Film and TV industry in Northern Ireland came together to demand better! Our members have spoken out that they do not want to see PACT 'equivalent' contracts being offered on the Island of Ireland, rather than the real thing. Find out more and sign our open letter.
